The english walnut for this bowl was saved from a local orchard removal project. This wood is particularly unique because of its dark contrasting grain lines. I kept the form of the piece as simple as possible to really emphasize the grain. Completely sealed and finished with food safe tongue oil this would make a great oatmeal bowl or it could be used a catch all for keys and coins.
