Record Player Stand

It all started on a beautiful sunny day at a Pecan farm in California. It was there that I discovered two gorgeous piles of 150 year old black walnut. These slabs would work perfectly for a record player stand I was commissioned to do for a local client. Here’s how it all came together.

Walnut Burl Chair

Made from locally salvaged black walnut burl this one of a kind piece was hand carved to hug and support the human form while providing a unique seating experience. It is constructed with a lazy susan making it easy to swivel freely. The mesmerizing grain of the burl is sure to impress dinner guests, family, and friends. Enjoy the Sunday paper or relax with a book in this nature inspired chair.

Burl Side Table

The top of this piece is a beautiful walnut burl cookie that was locally salvaged from an orchard removal project. The base is an olive branch from a farm up in Colusa. Contrasting the species of wood while still maintaining an organic form language.

Carved Walnut Bowl

This piece of english walnut crotch wood was salvaged from a local orchard. By carving the piece with my angle grinder I am able to maintain the organic shape of the tree. Revealing all of the beautiful grain hidden inside.

Dog Bowl Stand

This was a custom piece for an adorable dog named Rocket. Rocket had been keeping his food and water bowls on the ground. His owners didn’t like that and wanted to give him a special place for his bowls. So I made this cedar dog bowl stand just for Rocket.

Butcher Block Cutting Board

If you’re a fan of juicy delicious meats and veggies this piece will be a practical addition to your kitchen. At nearly 20” wide this butcher block will provide plenty of space to chop up all of your favorite dishes. The drip groove is cut to ensure that you don’t loose any of those precious drippings. Made from end-grain maple and black walnut this board will help keep your knives sharper for longer.
